Nigerian Army rescues another Chibok School Girl

Troops  of 231 Battalion , 331 Artillery Regiment , Detachment of Armed Forces Special forces  and civilian  vigilante group of Buratai  have rescued another girl believed  to be one of the Chibok  Government Secondary school girls  who were abducted  on 14th April 2014  by boko haram terrorists, the Nigerian Army says.

The Army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman in a statement said “the girl whose name is  Miss Serah Luka, believed to be  daughter of  Pastor  Luka  is number 157  on the list of the abducted Chibok school girls and hails from  Madagali , Adamawa state North- east Nigeria”.

Colonel Sani Usman added that during the operation troops killed 35 boko haram terrorists and recovered several arms and ammunitions.


According to the Army spokesman “97 women and children held captive  by boko haram were also liberated during the operation” he said.


The rescued Chibok School girl is receiving medical attention  at the medical facility of Abogo  Largema  Cantonment , Biu, Borno state.
