“The place of lessons learned is key to operational effectivenes, there are no secrets to success, It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure. Interestingly, you can also learn from success and observed gaps in the field and move towards addressing it accordingly.

“Consequently, commanders at all levels must continue to come up with innovative ideas to upscale their approaches towards improving man-management and battle readiness.

“Lessons must continually be identified and included in our day-to-day planning processes. Thus, it must be properly analyzed and applied in order to reduce human casualties and operational disabilities.

“This sensitization visit therefore seeks to rekindle the critical thinking skills amongst all commanders particularly junior commanders through creativity as well as enhancing their capacity to draw lessons from their operational engagements and other activities in the Nigerian Army,” he said.
