The Training and Doctorine Command of the Nigerian Army TRADOC , has called on its Officers and Men to uphold the sanctity, security and integrity of examination conducted by the Command.
The Commander Training and Doctoring Command of the Nigerian Army, Major General Steven Olabanji stated this while addressing members of the Nigerian Army Examination panel and observers at the Ihejirika Auditorium, Jaji, in Kaduna State Northern Nigeria.
Major General Olabanji stressed on the need to produce officers with impeccable characters, capable of tackling the contemporary security challenges bedeviling the country.
He said; “Members of the Examination Panel and Directing Staff for Senior Staff Course Qualifying Examination (SSCQE) 2022, must uphold the virtue of integrity and good character.
“The onus has been placed on TRADOC NA to create a new regime for realistic training for the Nigerian Army in line with the Chief of Army Staff Vision.”
Major General Olabanji further said that the Army training institutions are being repositioned to train officers and men who can collectively achieve the objective of the Army.
He urged members of the examination team to focus on the responsibilities and enormous tasks of invigilating, supervising and markings of promotional examinations in NA, which required discipline, dedication and fairness.
Major General Olabanji also stated that “Members were selected based on their known abilities and uprightness, thus they have and should upheld the trust the system has put in them by diligently carrying out their tasks without any prejudice.”
He however emphasised on the Army’s zero tolerance on examination malpractice and advised the officers sitting for the promotion examination to be focused, put in their best, and avoid any form of distractions.
In his address to the examination team, the Commander Infantry Corps, Major General VO Ezugwu appreciated the Chief of Army Staff for his continuous support in ensuring officers of the NA were properly trained.
General Ezugwu added that Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre of the Nigerian Army would ensure that the security and administration of all participating members were handled adequately.
