Nigerian Artist Davido sets new record for African music

Nigerian Singer Davido, has set a new record for African music and Afrobeats as a whole on the US charts with his fourth studio album ‘Timeless.’

Following the release of arguably one of the most anticipated albums of 2023, ‘Timeless’ by Davido, the album has set a new record for African music and afrobeats on the Apple music US albums chart with barely 24 hours of tracking.

‘Timeless‘ which was released in the early hours of today, Friday, March 31st 2023, now holds the record for the highest position on the Apple Music Top albums chart for US at number 2.

The record was previously held by Wizkid with his album ‘More Love Less Ego’ and Burna Boy’s ‘Love Damini’ at number 4 on the chart.

‘Timeless‘ also holds the number one position on the Apple Music Top Albums Chart for Nigeria with all of the songs debuting in the Top Songs Nigeria chart for apple music as well.
