The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, CBCN will host the General Assembly of the Reunion of Episcopal Conference of West Africa.
The event scheduled to start from Monday, 2 May to Monday, 9 May 2022 has the theme of the plenary,
“Fratelli Tutti: Path to Build Brotherhood and Sustainable Peace in West Africa.”
This is according to the Statement signed by the National Director of Social Communications, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Nsikak Umoh.
The Statement also disclosed that, the event will commence with an opening ceremony at the ECOWAS Secretariat in Asokoro, Abuja, on Tuesday 3 May 2022 by Time 10am Local time.
It also revealed that over 150 Bishops from the 16 countries of West Africa are expected at the Conference; and are to be supported by Heads of Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassadors, Governors, and other dignitaries of Church and State.
