Nigerian Envoy Ngelale Priotises Green Economic opportunities

Nigeria’s Envoy on Climate Action, Ajuri Ngelale, says his priority is to remain focus on steering energy transition towards green economic opportunity for Nigerians and for the African continent.

Strengthening the nation’s Climate Action plans, Ngelale made the declaration after his meeting with high-level dignitaries at the Global Energy Transition Congress held on Sunday in Milan, Italy.

He lauded the increasing prioritization of climate justice in the global south extolling the opportunity of exchanging views on climate action with former U.S. Special Presidential Envoy on Climate, John Kerry, former UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, ex-CNN Global Emerging Markets Editor, Mr. John Defterios, amongst others.

“I was humbled and honoured by the opportunity to exchange views over dinner with former U.S. Special Presidential Envoy on Climate, H.E. John Kerry, former UK Prime Minister, H.E. Tony Blair, ex-CNN Global Emerging Markets Editor, Mr. John Defterios, and other high-level dignitaries at the Global Energy Transition Congress on Sunday night in Milan, Italy.

“I was struck by the increasing prioritization of climate justice in the global south, and my focus remains on steering the energy transition toward green economic opportunity for Nigerians and Africans at large”.
