Nigeria’s Equities market closes week bullish

Equities trading on the Nigerian Exchange ended bullish on Friday as the All-share Index rose by 0.09% to close at 38,648.91 points, being 33.80 points higher than Thursday’s 38,615.11 points.

 

The market capitalization appreciated by N18 billion to close at N20.143 trillion compared to N20.125 trillion on Thursday.

 

The market sentiment also closed positive with 17 gainers and 10 losers as Consolidated Hallmark Insurance came out tops on the gainers’ list, rising by N0.06k to close at N0.67k. It was followed by Regency Alliance Insurance with N0.04k gain to close at N0.50k and Royal Exchange with N0.04k gain to close at N0.72k.

 

Conversely, Mutual Benefit Assurance was top on the losers’ list, dropping N0.04k to close at N0.45k. It was followed by Courtville Business Solutions, which dropped N0.01k to close at N0.20k; AIICO Insurance  lost N0.03k to close at N1.09k.

 

Zenith Bank recorded the highest volume of 44.9 million traded shares followed by Wema Bank with 21.73 million shares.
