“This 7 day outreach is our 10th outing for 2022 and we are collaborating with Faith Care International at the newly built state-of-the-art Obudu German Specialist Hospital here in Obudu to give free consultations, laboratory services, we are performing surgeries for those, who need surgeries rather than refer them to Calabar” he said.

“It is the hope of the founder, Dr. Linda Ayade that Nigerians would continue to have access to affordable healthcare services besides taking advantage of outreaches. Our target for this is about 1,500 people, but so far, we attended to over 3,000 people, which is double the number.

“We also attended to other Nigerians not resident in the Obudu area. We have had some people from Benue state and nearby localities including foreigners. So, it was open for everyone to benefit from,” Adamade said.

On other interventions of the organisation, he further stated that the “Mediatrix Development Foundation engages in other thematic areas such Education of the girl child, maternal health and providing support to the elderly including persons with disabilities. So, in as much as we are holding medical outreaches, we are also touching other areas.”
