Minister charges Nigerian Youths on nation building

As the world marks the International Youth Day, Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has charged the youths to channel their resources towards nation building and shun all forms of vices.

This was made known in a statement issued by the Ministry’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga via its official Twitter handle on Friday evening, August 12, 2022.

The Minister in his message to the youths in commemoration of the 2022 International Youth Day with the theme; ”Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages,’’ said that; “The youth are the most active component in the demography of our beloved nation.”

He, therefore, urged them to be self-reliant and employable.

The Minister who reiterated the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Administration’s commitment to the continuous provision of an enabling environment for the development of the youth, urged them to key into these opportunities so as to compete favourably on the global stage.

“Let us also take advantage of the opportunities provided for us by government to get training and empowerment that will prepare us to compete favourably on the global stage and lead us to create the Nigeria of our dreams.

The International Youth Day is celebrated annually on August 12, to draw the attention of the international community and also celebrate youths’ contributions across the globe.
