Nigerian Government Set To Resume Abuja-Kaduna Train Service.

The Federal Government of Nigeria said it has concluded all the necessary preparations for the resumption of the Kaduna-Abuja train service by this month.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Transportation Muazu Sambo in Abuja the nation’s capital during a presentation of achievements recorded from 2015-date in the ministry of transportation.

The minister said that the federal government has provided all the necessary security measures that will guarantee the safety of lives and properties to avert the reoccurring security threats in Nigeria’s rail lines.

“This administration has achieved tremendous success in providing critical infrastructural facilities that have modernized the transportation system in Nigeria to meet world standards.”

“President Muhammadu Buhari administration has provided adequate support in restructuring and reviving the transportation system in the country”

“The construction of rail to linking all the states of the federation and some African Nations to maintain Trans- Sahara Trade,  has remained among the major focus of this administration, the deep blue sea port project in the Gulf of Guinea as well as Inland Dry Ports in some states of the federal. The Minister added.”

Looking at how billions of naira were injected into purchasing some infrastructural facilities for railway construction, seaports rehabilitation and the construction of Inland dry ports amongst other ongoing initiatives; repositioning the transportation system in Nigeria is now among the major projects that the present administration gives premium priority to achieving before leaving office.
