Nigerian government to utilise creative, tourism sectors to boost GDP

The Nigerian Minister of State for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Amb. Maryam Katagum says  the creative, entertainment, culture and tourism sectors provide significant commercial and investment prospects for the country.
Amb. Mariam Katagum, said this during the 2nd Edition of the 2-day investment drive “Enjoy Nigeria Expo” (ENEX 2022) in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The minister who was represented by Head of the Department of Investment Promotion, Mrs. Gertrude Orji explained that the present exhibition,  is part of the federal government’s efforts to build a platform for investment in Nigeria’s “multibillion-dollar creative entertainment, cultural, and tourism industries.”
The Minister who said the creative, entertainment, culture, and tourism sectors were underutilised, stated that the present administration is determined to strengthen public-private partnerships in important sectors like; entertainment and tourism to boost the country’s Gross Domestic Product.
This is consistent with the federal government’s objective to diversify the economy,” she added.
Amb. Katagum pledged that the federal government will continue to protect investors and their investments in the country while maintaining the required ease of doing business in critical non-oil industries.
