The Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology said that the institute, as a dynamic industry that required knowledge and skills required regular improvement in training and skills.

“This is what we have been doing for the past 30 years. And our impact is visible and clear, such that in every state of this federation, you have people who have trained in NITT and are making their impact. In the transport systems of the states,” Dr Farah said.

He appreciated the support of the Gombe State Government and called for more collaboration, but encouraged the government to patronise the services of the NITT in the state.

Dr Farah also said the institute will introduce new certificates in Welding, Panel-Beating, car painting and other petty courses relating to transport and logistics in the future

He said the requirement for entry would be with a secondary school certificate, with which the holder would read a certificate course, after obtaining the form at the office in Kumo and is fully certified by the institute.
