This year’s competition marked a significant shift in its inclusivity, allowing fathers, as well as married and divorced men, to participate for the first time in its 16-year history.
Nwajagu, a 23-year-old model from Anambra State with a passion for fashion, fitness, and wellness, triumphed over Nguyễn Mạnh Lân of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto of Indonesia, who joined him as top finalists. The crowning moment came as Kim Thitisan Goodburn, the 2023 winner, passed on the title to Nwajagu, solidifying his place as a trailblazer in the African modeling industry.
The contest included a range of activities, from city tours to preliminary rounds showcasing the contestants’ physical fitness, cultural attire, and formal wear. They also faced challenging questions on topical issues, giving them the platform to demonstrate their intelligence and charisma.
Mister International, established in 2006 by the late Alan Sim, is one of the world’s most prominent male beauty pageants, second only to Mister World. Based in Singapore, the organization attracts participants from over 80 countries annually and has grown to become a global platform for aspiring models.
With this historic win, Nwajagu not only brings pride to Nigeria but also paves the way for greater African representation on the global stage.
