Nigerian musician Tems bags MTV award nomination

Nigerian musician and international sensation Tems has earned an MTV VMAs nomination for Best Hip Hop Video for her contributions to Future’s ‘Wait For U’.

The 2022 MTV awards ceremony will be held in New Jersey’s Prudential Center in Newark on Sunday, August 28th.

‘Wait For U’ which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 earned award winning Tems her third Billboard Hot 100 entry and made her the second Afrobeats act to reach number one on the chart.

Twenty-seven year old Tems formally known as Temilade Openiyi is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. She featured on American Rapper, Future’s Album which he released in April.
