Nigerian musician to perform at the Billboard awards
Nigerian musician and afrobeats superstar Burnaboy is set to perform at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards (BBMA) for the first time.
The ‘on the low’ crooner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer and rapper. He rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.
With multiple awards, he added a feat to his hat in 2021 when he won the Grammy award for best Global music award with his album ‘Twice as tall’.
The Billboards music awards slated for the 15th of May will see many artists perform like Megan thee Stallion, Red hot chilli peppers and so on.

The award committee on it’s website also revealed that “Mary J. Blige will be honored with this year’s Icon Award during the telecast, following a long line of superstars to receive the trophy including P!nk, Garth Brooks, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Cher, Celine Dion and more. ” and who was going to win the change maker award.
The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will air Sunday, May 15, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on NBC.
