Nigerian Scholar Maureen Okwulogu Receives Educational Excellence Award

The Committee of Youth Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) has honoured Mrs. Maureen Okwulogu with the prestigious Award of Excellence in Educational Advancement, recognising her outstanding contributions to education and leadership.

The award, presented as part of the 2025 International Women’s Day celebrations, underscores Okwulogu’s exceptional academic achievements.

CYMS Director General, Chief Obinna Nwaka, praises her journey from a first-class graduate to earning a Ph.D. scholarship in the United States, calling it a “testament to her dedication and perseverance in the pursuit of knowledge.”

“This recognition is not just about Maureen Okwulogu’s personal success but serves as an inspiration for other women to excel in their fields,” Nwaka states. “It aligns with this year’s International Women’s Day theme, celebrating women’s achievements and encouraging them to break barriers.”

Okwulogu’s nomination comes from her husband, Mr. Osita Okwulogu, who expresses immense pride in her accomplishments and unwavering commitment to education.

The CYMS Award of Excellence aims to motivate young women toward greatness, with Okwulogu’s success story serving as a beacon of inspiration.
