The Nigerian senate on Wednesday reconvened in plenary and immediately began debate on the redesign of naira notes by the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN).
The debate on naira notes redesign was sequel to a point of order by Senator Uba Sani with four prayers on his list, top of which is the request for Legislative support backing the apex bank’s action.
The senate is also discussing issues of the recent flooding which affected the country as well as oil theft challenge.
The Senate is resuming after more than three weeks of budget defense sessions.
