Nigerian’s Tiwa Savage thrills fans at King Charles III’s coronation

Nigerian Megastar Tiwa Savage is one of the musicians that entertained guests at the coronation of the new English monarch.

The Nigerian Afropop Queen Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, gave a mind-blowing performance at King Charles III’s coronation concert in the United Kingdom.

The multiple award-winning singer, songwriter, and performer was recently confirmed as the first and only Nigerian artist billed to perform at the coronation concert of the King of England. On Sunday, May 7, 2023, the popstar graced the royal stage on the grounds of Windsor Castle, the royal residence in Berkshire, with a mind-blowing performance of her song “Keys to the Kingdom.”
The coronation concert, which was organized by the BBC, also saw performances from heavyweights like Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Sir Bryn Terfel, Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, Steve Winwood, and others.
The Coronation Choir
Aside from the superstar lineup, the coronation Choir which is made up of community choirs across the UK will also be making an appearance. They will be joined virtually by the Commonwealth Choir who will also be performing at the event.
