Nigeria’s Aviation sector ranks second best in global post Covid-19 recovery ratings

Nigeria ranks second after Columbia in the Airports Council International rankings on post Covid-19 recovery.

 

Addressing Nigerian Legislators on Wednesday, during the budget defence session, Aviation Minister, Senator Hadi Sirika confirmed that the recovery road map for the sectoe waa proving to be a worthy venture.

According to him, Nigeria is currently recording increase in passengers’ traffick per annum with growth recovery rate of one hundred and ten percent (110%), which earned the country the second best position in the world.
He assured the lawmakers, the aviation sector stakeholders and indeed Nigerian public, that government is doing everything possible to ensure full recovery of the sector following the covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, private airline operators who also attended the budget defence session, objected to the involvement of Ethiopian Airlines in the Air Nigeria Project.
