Preparations continued as Nigeria’s top cyclists intensify efforts ahead of the National Track Championships, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Velodrome in Abuja.
The championships will serve as the official selection platform for athletes who will represent Nigeria at the 2026 CAC African Track and Para-Track Cycling Championships, scheduled to take place in Abuja in May.
The continental event will be held in two phases, with the Para-Track events set for April 9 to 11, followed by the Track Championships from May 13 to 17, bringing together cyclists from across Africa.
The session shows perfectly the growing intensity, focus, and structure within Team Nigeria’s preparation camp, as athletes continue to push for selection in a highly competitive environment.
The National Sports Commission, in collaboration with the Cycling Federation of Nigeria, said they are committed to delivering a strong and competitive national team on home soil.
