Nigeria’s Elizabeth Oshoba stuns Rojas with third round Knockout

Nigerian Female Boxer, Elizabeth Oshoba at the weekend beat Argentinian opponent, Agustina Marisa Belen Rojas, in the Women’s Super-Featherweight Clash at Brentwood Centre, United Kingdom.

Oshoba, who came into the fight unbeaten in seven fights, knocked out Agustina in the third round of their six round clash and improved her record to 8-0-0 with 5 KOs.

Oshoba, a 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medallist, emerged as the new WBC Women’s Silver and IBO Women’s International Featherweight Champion, after defeating Michela Braga in Copenhagen, Denmark, making the 24-year-old the first Nigeria woman after Helen Joseph to win a major boxing title.

With her victory, Oshoba has set her sights against a possible fight with Australian WBC Women’s Featherweight Champion, Syke Nicholson, who is undefeated in ten fights.
