Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has assured Nigerians that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is doing everything it can to improve the lives of the ordinary man.

She pointed out that the various reforms and programs would yield long-lasting effects rather than a flash-in-the-pan approach.

She pledged in Ekiti State while distributing food items to the vulnerable groups in the State.

The First Lady, who was represented by the wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima explained that the Food Outreach Programme of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI),  is a monthly intervention strategy targeting vulnerable groups in society and it complements the efforts of government.

While distributing the items to the various vulnerable groups at the Government House Ado Ekiti, the First Lady added that the RHI, in line with the objectives of President Bola Tinubu’s Administration is working towards meeting the needs of the people.

She implored the beneficiaries not to divert the items to the market but to use them to better their lives.

Wife of the Ekiti State Governor Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, while appreciating Mrs Tinubu’s support to the state, also noted the contributions of the wife of the President in agriculture.

Our female farmers received farming implements, others got empowered and others got scholarships,” she said.

Dr Oyebanji also urged the beneficiaries to look into embracing agriculture, especially in their homes; so that they can provide food for their families and neighbours.

The RHI Food Outreach Program was launched in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja in December 2023 and has so far covered some states, impacting the lives of people with disabilities, women and the youth.
