Nigeria’s President Arrives In Ethiopia For AU Summit

Nigeria’s Leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, for the 36th session of the AU Summit.

The President touched down at the Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa on Thursday night at 20:02 (GMT).

He was received by Ethiopia’s Minister of Transport, Dr. Alemu Sime and some Nigerian officials.

 

 

During his stay in Addis Ababa, President Buhari will participate in three High-Level meetings on peace and security, climate change and the political situation in some West African countries.

The theme of the AU Summit is ‘‘Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Area Implementation.’’

Heads of State and Government of member countries of the AU are expected to also attend the summit.
