The Director General National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies Professor Ayo Omotayo has stated that members of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) are important to the survival of the nation and the institute.
He said the members of the Alumni have a role to play in ensuring the nation survives its challenges.
He stated this in Abuja, Nigeria’s Capital While giving remarks at the Annual General Meeting of the Alumni Association of the National (AANI) on Saturday 5th of March, 2022.
The President also said his leadership is poised to transform the institute National Institute of Strategic Studies and Policy Planning
“The Alumni Association of the National is always willing to lend a hand to the survival of the institute, we must as stakeholders ensure that our nation survives all the challenges that it is currently facing.” Stated Professor Omotayo.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar in a short remarks to the gathering said the institute is faced with the issue of funding which needs to be taken seriously and members need to find ways of generating revenue for the institute.
The President National Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) Retired Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar said the institute is always available to partner with government and all stakeholders to tackle the challenges the country is currently confronted with.
He said the institute will do this “promote a comprehensive strategy that would stabilize the polity and promote a proactive agenda for the overall development of the country.”
The two-day activity of the Institute’s Annual General Meeting concluded on Saturday 5th March, 2022.
