The Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa CCIE, has emphasised the critical role of cybersecurity in safeguarding the society.
Inuwa made these remarks at a recent workshop titled “Critical National Information Infrastructure Protection and Resilience,” held at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in Abuja.
The event was aimed at engaging policymakers and sector regulators in line with President Tinubu’s administration’s priority of strengthening national security for peace and prosperity.

Inuwa reaffirmed NITDA’s commitment to collaborating with all stakeholders to advance the protection of the nation’s critical information infrastructure, stressing the importance of secure, locally produced software alongside robust digital infrastructure.

The workshop, hosted by the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, was attended by distinguished figures, including the Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni; Mr. Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy; and other key leaders from various government parastatals.
