NITDA Partners With Anambra State On Digital Economy

The Anambra state government through the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Empowerment Programme, Dr Nelson Omenugha is partnering with the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA to host a three-day intensive training for Anambra youths on digital skills acquisition.

The digital skill acquisition programme tagged National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Digital Economy and Employability Programme (DEEP) targets the youths of Anambra State on opportunities in digital skills and ICT.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr Omenugha said that the whole idea revolves around the efforts and determination of the Governor, Professor Charles Soludo to equip and empower Anambra youths to become useful at home and abroad.

He emphasized that the programme will not just expose the youths to the opportunities embedded in digital economy but will prepare them for successful digital employability.

He noted that the opportunity connects one to the rich pool of learning resources and enhances self-paced learning.

Dr Omenugha encouraged the participants to maximize the opportunity as it will also enable them to jumpstart digital marketing, digital onboarding, virtual assistant among others.

He confirmed that on completion, the participants will be awarded two certificates, one from Google and one from NITDA.

The training has over one hundred Anambra youths in attendance and it is being held at Awka the state capital.
