NITDA Receives Cisco Premier+ Award for Regional Digital Skills Impact

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has received Cisco’s prestigious Premier+ Award for its significant regional impact in digital skills training for citizens via the Cisco Netacad platform.

The award was accepted on behalf of the Director-General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, by Acting Director of the Digital Literacy and Capacity Building Department, Dr. Ahmed Yusuf Tambuwal, at the Networking Academy Partner Conference 2024 in Dubai.

Dr. Tambuwal also participated in a VIP session with Chris Reeves, Cisco’s Vice President of the Digital Impact Office for EMEA, where they discussed the ongoing collaboration between Cisco and NITDA.

This partnership aims to equip Nigeria’s workforce with essential digital literacy through an online, self-paced, interactive course, leading to a national digital literacy certification to validate skill acquisition.
