Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial: Nigerian Government reacts to Court Judgment

The Nigerian Government says, it will consider all available options open to it on the judgment by the Appeal Court which discharged the Leader of the proscribed Indigenous peoples of Biafra IPOB Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, Thursday.

Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami in a reaction through a press statement by his media aid Umar Gwandu said, appropriate legal options before the authorities will be exploited and communicated accordingly to the public.

The statement noted that, the decision handed down by the court of appeal was on a single issue that borders on rendition of Nnamdi Kanu.

“Let it be made clear to the general public that other issues that predates rendition on the basis of which Kanu jumped bail remain valid issues for judicial determination.

“The Federal Government will consider all available options open to us on the judgment on rendition while pursuing determination of pre-rendition issues,” as contained in the statement.
