No Compromise On Environmental Laws

The Kwara State Government, through the State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) has reasserted its readiness to use all necessary mechanisms to curb environmental nuisance in every part of the State, to safeguard the health of citizens and ensure no compromise on maintaining cleanliness and upholding the environmental laws of the State.
The Acting General Manager of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency, (KWEPA), Hajia Idayat Folorunsho disclosed this while addressing the Shop Owners Association at Taiwo Oke Ilorin, during the routine enforcement exercise.
Hajia Folorunsho, who led the KWEPA enforcement team to the area, declared that the State government would not allow any act that could compromise the environmental sanitation efforts of KWEPA, warning that shop owners must abide by the State’s environmental laws.
She emphasized that to promote a clean and green environment, there was a need for each shop owner to procure a waste bin with cover and register with the government approved waste consultant for their area for proper evacuation of wastes generated in their various shops to be disposed at the government approved dump site.
Hajia Folorunsho, while appraising the present administration on its laudable strides in promoting healthy living for the inhabitants of the State through a clean and habitable environment, sued for the maximum cooperation of the shop owners to complement government efforts in the best interest of all citizens.
It is crystal clear to everyone that the government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has continuously prioritized the safety and  well-being of citizens, we should all play our roles as responsible residents in supporting the good stride of the Governor and ensure we keep our environment clean, for our own good,” Hajia Folorunsho emphasized.
