In a bid to raise public awareness about the Tax Reform Bills currently under consideration by the National Assembly, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has held an enlightenment rally in Kano State, North-West Nigeria.

The rally, spearheaded by the Acting Director of NOA in Kano State, Alhaji Rabi’u Ado, kicked off from the agency’s office along Sokoto Road and proceeded through the bustling Farm Center Market and other high-traffic areas in Kano City.

During the rally, NOA officials distributed informational flyers addressing several critical topics, including the Tax Reform Bills, security awareness, World HIV Day, and the dangers of the “get-rich-quick” mentality.

“We are sensitising the public on the Tax Reform Bills currently at the National Assembly.

“I believe there is going to be more consultations from the National Assembly members with their constituents on this matter,” he said.

The acting director also highlighted the need to combat the rising trend of individuals seeking quick and often illegal wealth.

“Some of our people are eager to get rich quick, and we as NOA have a role to play in enlightenment not to border themselves but get rich in a legal way,” Ado stated.

The rally forms part of the NOA’s broader efforts to engage with the public on pressing social and economic issues, fostering a more informed and responsible citizenry.
