Nokia and Dell Technologies have announced a strategic partnership aimed at facilitating the deployment of private 5G networks and enabling network adaptation to cloud environments, as revealed in a joint statement issued on Thursday.

Private 5G networks, typically owned, operated, or leased by individual organizations, are poised to redefine connectivity standards in various sectors.

According to the statement, customers utilizing Nokia AirFrame, the telecommunications equipment manufacturer’s cloud-centric data center business, will eventually transition to Dell’s purpose-built PowerEdge servers, specifically designed for modern telecom network workloads.

Moreover, Nokia’s Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) is set to become Dell’s preferred private wireless platform catering to the specific requirements of enterprise clients.

The collaboration between the two tech giants will extend beyond their existing partnership, focusing on integrating NDAC with Dell’s NativeEdge software platform.

This integration aims to propel the advancement of open network architectures within the telecommunications ecosystem and foster the adoption of private 5G solutions among businesses.
