“Stepping into 56 years of boldly achieving purpose. Blessed, accomplished and poised. Walking through our garden, I reflected on everything God has done for me and all I can say is “THANK YOU LORD” for making me a Beautiful African Princess (BAP) with the Baddest Amazing Productions (BAP) surrounded by the most amazing people that love me and doing what I love best; appreciating nature. I am looking up to God Almighty for the journies ahead of me and thanking all my loved ones for being part of my making,” the post said.

From Theatre to Nollywood
Before making waves in Nollywood, Bolanle Austen-Peters was already a powerhouse in the theatre world. As the founder of Terra Kulture, Nigeria’s premier cultural and arts hub, she played a key role in modernizing and reviving stage performances. But she didn’t stop at producing plays—she turned them into blockbusters.
Her productions, including Saro the Musical, Wakaa! The Musical, and Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, weren’t just hits in Nigeria; they toured internationally, proving that Nigerian theatre could command global recognition. And just when it seemed she had conquered one industry, she brought her magic to Nollywood.
A New Era in Nollywood Storytelling
When Bolanle Austen-Peters transitioned into filmmaking, she brought vision, sophistication, and a passion for socially relevant storytelling.
Her 2019 film, The Bling Lagosians, is a dazzling drama that explores the extravagant lives of Lagos elites while tackling themes of family, legacy, and scandal. The movie was a box-office success, solidifying her place in the industry.
She followed up with Man of God (2022), a thought-provoking exploration of faith, ambition, and identity. Most recently, her film House.
