North central: National Orthopedic hospital to begin clinic in March

Prof. Iche Onche, the Managing Director of the National Orthopedic Hospital North Central, says the healthcare facility will begin its maiden clinics in March.

Onche, said this on Monday in Jos,when the former deputy speaker of the house of Representatives, Idris Wase, who passed the bill for its establishment and some members representing the north central, visited the hospital site on inspection.

He said the project was 40 per cent completed.

“With the current pace of work by the contractor, the project will be completed and operations will begin in March.

“The hospital has all it takes to start staff recruitment by February,” he said.

Wase, the leader of the delegation, said he was impressed with the pace and quality of the project.

He said the hospital, when completed would provide succour to the people of the North Central and Nigeria at large.

Wase called on the contractor not to relent in the discharge of his duty.

Similarly, Mr Tijani Kayode, a member representing Kwara, expressed satisfaction with the pace of work and said the hospital would also help reduce medical tourism.
