Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), Joint Task Force North East, have successfully thwarted multiple terrorist attacks and neutralised key threats in the North East region.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force North East, Operation Hadin Kai, the troops foiled a suicide bombing attempt in Kukawa, Borno State, using a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED).

The troops engaged the VBIED with RPG fire, which bounced off its armoured surface, and eventually neutralised it with a T-55 tank.

The troops, supported by air component command, conducted precision strikes and enhanced battlefield awareness with ISR assets.

A follow-up operation on October 31 led to the recovery of one terrorist’s corpse, one AK-47 rifle, and other military hardware.

The Military High Command commended the troops for their gallantry, professionalism, and commitment to ensuring security and stability in the Northeast region.
