As the 2027 general elections draw closer, a group under the auspices of Shehi and Matawalle project for Tinubu 2nd term mandate 2027, Northwest zone, has assured Nigerians that the coalition of the opposition parties can not stand the test of time.

The group described the alliance between the former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party in 2023 election, Peter Obi, former Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, and others as a waste of time and resources.

Matawale’s supporters stated this in Kaduna on Saturday, during the inauguration of the Northwest zonal and states executives of the group.

According to the Publicity Secretary of the group, Auwal Mohammed, the aim of the group is to canvas support and votes for the return of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.

Highlighting reasons why Nigerians should support the Tinubu led-administration beyond 2027, Mohammed explained that the present administration under its ‘Renewed Hope agenda’ has formulated people-oriented policies which is now driving the economy of the Country to the right path.

Earlier, the Zonal Coordinator of the group, Honourable Babangida Damba explained that Tinubu has stabilised the economy and uplifted the poor through reforms and targeted programs, which according to him, include; economic reforms: fuel subsidy removal, FX unification, road rehabilitation, rural electrification, among others.

“As newly inaugurated executives, your mission is to mobilize, educate, and sustain the movement for the return of President BolaTinubu come 2027,” Damba explained.

Also, the Zonal Secretary of the group,  Ahmad Hashim explained that the Shehi and Matawalle project is more than a campaign structure due to its strategic movement designed to ensure the continuity and consolidation of President Tinubu’s leadership come 2027.

“The project draws strength from the loyal structures and enduring influence of two great sons of the Northwest; Bello Mohammed Matawalle and Senator Abdulazeez Yari”, Hashim said.

Speaking further, he described the duo of Matawalle and Yari as political pillars and seasoned statesmen who in their different capacities have contributed to the growth of the country.
