NPFL: Ikorodu City seals first win against Bendel Insurance

Ikorodu City FC achieved a milestone on Saturday, winning their first match in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Lagos-based club defeated Bendel Insurance 3-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.

Goals from Rivio Ayemwenre (48’), Kelechi Onwe (56’), and Toyeeb Ajeyigbe (74’) sealed Bendel’s worst defeat of the season and their biggest NPFL loss since 2008.

Sunday’s fixtures include Enyimba facing Shooting Stars of Ibadan at the Lekan Salami Stadium, while Remo Stars host Nasarawa United. Kwara United will travel to face Abia Warriors in another key match of the weekend.
