NPFL: Kano Pillars Appoint Ahmed Musa As General Manager

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the reconstitution of the management board of Kano Pillars Football Club, naming Nigerian football icon Ahmed Musa, as the club’s new General Manager.

The appointment, announced in a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature is part of renewed efforts to reposition the club and strengthen its performance ahead of the new Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The reconstitution comes after the expiration of the one-year tenure of the outgoing board, which led the team to a respectable 9th-place finish last season.

Following consultations with stakeholders, Governor Yusuf approved the reappointment of most board members, with some strategic adjustments to enhance the team’s progress.

The newly constituted management has
Ali Muhammad Umar Chairman, Salisu Mohammed Kosawa , Yusuf Danladi, Idris Malikawa and Nasiru Bello are to serve as members.

Other members are, Muhammad Ibrahim (Hassan West), Abdulkarim Audi Chara,
Muhammad Danjuma Gwarzo, Mustapha Usman Darma and Umar Dankura.

The membership list also, includes Ahmad Musbahu, Gambo Salisu Shuaibu Kura, Rabiu Abdullahi, Aminu Ma’alesh, Safiyanu Abdu, Abubakar Isah Dandago Yamalash to serve as Media Director I while Ismail Abba Tangalash – Media Director II.

Ahmad Musa a former captain of the Super Eagles and long-time supporter of Kano Pillars, is expected to bring his vast experience and leadership qualities to revitalize the team.

Governor Yusuf expressed confidence in the new leadership, stating that the combination of seasoned board members and Musa’s dynamic influence will help propel the club to greater success in the upcoming season.
