NPFL: Kano Pillars Get New Interim Management
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club Kano Pillars have announced the appointment of a new interim management team.
The decision was made by the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, as part of efforts to revitalise the club following its relegation to the second tier of the domestic league in 2022.
The 12-man board, headed by Babangida Little and with Sani Ibrahim serving as the Secretary, was unveiled on Monday. This move is seen as a proactive step towards rejuvenating the Sai Masu Gida boys and restoring their status in Nigerian football.
Despite their recent struggles, Kano Pillars have already secured a spot in the upcoming Nigeria National League Super 8 playoff, which is set to commence in July. This opportunity presents a chance for the club to reclaim their position in the top flight.
This development has generated anticipation among Kano Pillars supporters and football enthusiasts, as they await the implementation of strategic measures to restore the club’s glory. With this new interim management in place, Kano Pillars aims to regroup, strategize, and make a strong comeback in Nigerian football.
The newly appointed interim management team comprises individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise and the interim board was inaugurated on Tuesday.
