Nasarawa United FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 win against Shooting Stars in their Match day 16 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter, at the at the Lafia Township Stadium in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The match’s lone goal was scored by Moyi Hassan in the 66th minute to give Nasarawa United all three (3) points. The Solid Miners showed great determination and skill to secure the win.
With this victory, solid miners returned to the top of the NPFL table with 30 points, while Shooting Stars are seventh on the league table with 23 points.
In a post-match interview, head coach of Nasarawa United, Abubakar Arikya, expressed joy for getting the maximum points in the game to return top of the table.
He commended his players for playing to instructions and for winning the game to return the club to the top of the league table.
