
Rangers International defeated Remo Stars 4–1 on Match Day 29 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Enugu State.
Defender Kenneth Igboke opened scoring for Rangers in the 9th minute, sending the home crowd into wild celebration. Two minutes later, Chigozie Iwundu doubled the lead.

Remo Stars responded late in the first half, as Franck Kingue scored to reduce the deficit before the interval.
In the second half, Remo searched for an equaliser, but Rangers struck again through Wisdom Ebirim in the 62nd minute to extend the lead to 3–1.

Igboke completed his brace in the 90th minute, sealing a commanding 4–1 victory and helping Rangers maintain second place with 50 points from 29 games.

The win keeps Rangers International firmly in the title race as they are two (2) points behind leaders Rivers United, who have played two games less. For champions Remo Stars, they remain at the bottom of the table with 30 points from 29 games.
Remo Stars coach, Usman Abdallah, said his side played well but were unfortunate to lose by such a margin.
“We will keep fighting till the end; there is still time for us to make it, and I remain positive,” Abdallah said.
