Rangers International reclaimed top spot on the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table, despite a 0-0 home draw against Barau FC while Rivers United lost 2-0 to Warri Wolves on an exciting Match Day 33.
The home side entered the match looking to bounce back from a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Shooting Stars in their previous outing. However, Barau FC proved to be a tough nut to crack.
Rangers dominated possession for long periods. Despite several close calls and a late surge of pressure, the Barau FC defense remained disciplined and secured a vital point away from home.

Rivers United dropped to second position on the NPFL table following a 2-0 defeat to Warri Wolves in Ozoro.

Igbunu Evwierhurhoma opened the scoring for Wolves from the penalty spot in the 12th minute.

Warri Wolves then extended its lead when Othuke Egbo scored the second just before regulation time.

Holders Remo Stars beat Shooting Stars 1-0 in a keenly contested South West derby in Ikenne on Sunday.

Samuel Anakwe netted the decisive goal four minutes after the break, beating the goalkeeper in the box after a brilliant run down the left and a dummy by Victor Mbaoma.
Remo Stars moved to 17th position on the table with 40 points following the hard-earned win, while Shooting Stars are in 5th place on 50 points.
