NPFL: Sunshine Stars Announce Boboye As New Coach
Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure have unveiled former Plateau United Coach, Kennedy Boboye as the team’s new coach, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side announced.
Former Abia Warriors and Heartland coach, Boboye, agreed to join Sunshine Stars FC after the sack of Edith Agoye after a run of poor performances in the league.
Other technical crew members unveiled alongside Boboye included, Kayode Julius, Chief Coach, Nwachukwu Ifeanyi, Assistant Coach and John Gaadi, Goalkeeper Trainer.
“I’m glad to be back home, Sunshine Stars remain in my heart, with God and the collective support of everyone, we shall succeed and achieve the desired results,” Boboye said.
Also unveiled was the 2013 AFCON winner, Godfrey Oboabona, who made a return to the team after successful spells with clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia.
Present at the unveiling are the Administrative Secretary, Ondo State Football Agency, Bekewei Ijeh and the Coordinator, Sunshine Stars FC, Tokunbo Akinyelure,
Others are Seun Betiku, Team manager, Sunshine stars FCgeria Premier Football League and Segun Giwa, Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ondo State Chapter.
