The Chief Operating Officer of IMC, Prince Davidson Owumi during a chat with newsmen on Monday. He acknowledged the fact that the three outstanding matches Rivers United have to play will affect their proposed schedule but optimistic that the league can still be concluded in May.

It is our joy for Nigeria teams to progress in the CAF Club competitions and we are very happy that Rivers United went this far to the quarterfinal which led to having three outstanding matches. He said.

He continued, “We will work on getting them a very conducive atmosphere not to pile up too much matches on them. We have two groups and these two groups are not in anyway related in their fixtures. The delay for Rivers United to play the outstanding matches to meet up with other teams will only affect the group where Rivers United plays but not the other.

He added, “What I am saying is that, one group may complete their group matches before the other but all league matches including Super 6 will hold in May according to our calendar.”
