Some of these security challenges are dated to over 15 years, currently being attended to with all energy and determination by security forces.

According to him, “everyone must show understanding because we are in it together, insecurity destroys everything thing and takes away attention to other developmental issues of the Nation. We inherited difficult security challenges.”

Engagements

He said to resolve these challenges, the government has embarked on continuous engagement with stakeholders.

Citing the crude oil theft in the south south of the country, Malam Ribadu stated that the crude oil production was at the lowest ebb of 900 barrels before the Tinubu administration took over. But today, oil production has increased to 1.7 million barrels per day.

With regards to banditry and kidnapping,  he explained that it has reduced drastically, noting that criminal deaths estimated at 1,000 last year has dropped significantly to an all-time low.

The National Security Adviser said the security forces are working more and talking less.
