The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command has promoted and decorated 544 officers in recognition of their outstanding performance in promotion exams.
The Commandant of the FCT Command, Dr. Olusola Odumosu highlighted the new ranks as a call to higher responsibility and a move to boost career growth and motivation within the Corps
The FCT boss challenged all the promoted officer to ensure professionalism in their line of duty to justify the promotion.
Dr Odumosu said that the Commandant General Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Audi mni OFR, has been magnanimous by promoting 544 officers, stressing that “to who much is given, much is expected.”
“The mandate of the Corps to protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure must be taken even more seriously with the added feathers, you must step up on your commitment to protecting government Assets and Infrastructure under my jurisdiction,” he said.
Prominent among the newly promoted officers is the Command Public Relations Officer, Samuel A. Idoko who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC).
The epoch making occasion was graced by dignitaries which include the representative of Commander Guards Brigades, Nigeria Army, Lt. Col. MA Yusuf, representative of the Commander, Nigeria Air Force, Mogadishu Barracks, Sqd Ldr A Bashir, the representative of Director Department of State Services, FCT Command, Mr Rasheed Dokpemu.
Also in attendance was the Commandant Federal Fire Service, FCT Command, HRH, the Etsu of kwali, Ayode Luka Nizassan III, District Head Mabushi , Garki Chiefdom, Hassan Danagna Mabushi, representative of the kwali Area council Chairman.
