NSCDC prioritises welfare for effective service delivery

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC says it has has prioritized improved welfare and capacity development of it’s staff for effective service delivery.

The commandant general of the corps, Dr. Alhmed Audi disclosed this at the occasion of the 2022 World Civil Defence Day celebration in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital .

 

 

Dr Audi remarked that the corps has developed standard curriculum for civil defence training colleges in the country

The Administration Committee on curriculum development was inaugurated to develop the standard curriculum for the civil defence training colleges and career progression courses ,’’he said

The commandant general also disclosed that the corps has also introduced a lot of transformation programmes and reforms in line with the vision to reposition the operational machinery of the corps for improved performance.

 

 

 

We have established special female squad unit , AGRO-Ranger, Peace and conflict resolution and commandant general special intelligence squad, all geared toward delivery means of tackling security challenges in the country ”Audi added.

He remarked that he was able to surmount the challenges confronting the corps with the support of the  Nigerian government and the staff promising to embarked on more strategic action plans that would move the corps forward.

It would be recalled that the commandant general of the Corps had earlier laid a foundation of the civil defence cooperative, housing unit, skill acquisition and school of the civil defence officers wives association all for the welfare of the staff.
