The Deputy Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC in charge of operations, Ayuba Philips has warned officers deployed for the conduct of the governorship election in Ondo state against any act of unprofessionalism or be ready to be relieved of their duties.
The NSCDC Deputy Commandant General gave the warning while briefing Newsmen on the preparedness of corps on today’s Governorship election in Ondo state.
“We want the people to trust us and also believe in us, that we shall give them the best and nothing but the best.
“However, let me just say, from the authority of the civil defense. We don’t condone any act of unprofessionalism from any of our officers and men.
“Anybody who decides to commit any atrocity, I think he is asking himself to be out of the system. We shall not leave anybody. Once you commit, you should know your way is out” he said.
Ayuba also said all the men and officers of the formation were fully prepared and those drawn from outside Ondo State have arrived for the poll.
The Deputy Commandant General urged the voters not to exercise any fear over the presence of security agents as they were only deployed to ensure hitch free Election in Ondo state.
He said the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps had deployed six thousand personnel to ensure a peaceful environment for the Ondo State governorship election.
He said the deployment is part of the corps’ efforts to guarantee a free, fair, and credible election process.
According to Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi, the NSCDC is fully prepared to contribute to the success of the election.
