The Director‑General of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Dr Yusuf Yakub, has lauded the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFFIN) for its “giant strides” since inception.
He made the remarks at CIFFIN’s 2nd Founders’ Day celebration in the capital city.
Dr Yakub said the institute’s growth reflects a strong commitment to professionalism in forensic and fraud investigation fields he described as “critical to Nigeria’s fight against corruption and economic crime”.
He noted that “CIFFIN’s rigorous standards, multidisciplinary collaboration, and cutting‑edge training are equipping investigators to confront complex financial challenges while contributing to a more transparent and resilient economy.”

The NTAC chief, who sponsored the bill that established CIFFIN in the National Assembly, was commended for his insight, leadership, and dedication to the cause.
Reiterating the institute’s importance, Dr Yakub stressed that “CIFFIN remains steadfast in shaping the future of forensic and fraud investigations in Nigeria.”
According to its leadership, CIFFIN’s mission is to foster excellence in the field, support the nation’s anti‑corruption agenda, and ensure professionals are prepared to address evolving economic threats.
The celebration showcased the institute’s achievements and reaffirmed its role as a key partner in Nigeria’s wider efforts to combat corruption and promote good governance.
