NTA’s ‘Cock Crow at Dawn’ set for reboot
Nigerian pioneer television drama series, ‘Cock Crow at Dawn’ is getting rebooted with fast rising director Tosin Igho at the helm.
This was disclosed by Igho who recently announced the production inked with the NTA, the reboot will be co-produced by his dad and the original series’ producer Peter Igho.
“It’s Official The Series “Cock Crow at dawn” is getting a reboot. And I am glad to be working alongside my Legendary father, Peter Igho. It’s a great time and great news on my birthday I couldn’t be there as I am on set shooting @suspiscion_movie. We Move.”
The Drama is written by Peter Igho and directed by Matt Dadzie, Cock Crow at Dawn premiered in April1980 on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and aired a total of 104 episodes. The drama series featured several of the country’s brightest including George Menta who played the role of Bello, Ene Oloja played his wife, Mama Bitrus, Sadiq Daba played the couple’s son Bitrus with Tola Awobode playing the role of their daughter Lare, amongst several others.
