The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has advised Corps Members to abide by the scheme’s rules and regulations and serve their fatherland with good conduct as responsible ambassadors of their families and alma mater.

NYSC’s Director-General, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, disclosed this in his address to the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members at the Edo State Orientation Camp in Okada and the Delta State Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku, Southern Nigeria.

“Try and participate in all the camp activities that are deliberately targeted to make you better citizens.

“Be security conscious of your environments and do not endanger your lives. The service year is not for jamboree but a time to reflect on your lives and add value to yourselves and your place of primary assignments,” he said.

The Director General also implored the Corps Members to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within and outside the Orientation Camp to stay healthy.

Briefing the Director General, the Edo State Coordinator, Mrs. Ben-Ushie Frances said a total of 1,478 Corps Members comprising 594 males and 884 females have been making meaningful contributions towards the overall success of the Orientation Course.
